QC Craft Beer Week Returns for 15th Anniversary

Posted On: May 19, 2026

Quad Cities, IL/IA (May 19, 2026) - The Quad Cities is ready to raise a glass as QC Craft Beer Week returns May 29 through June 5, 2026, celebrating its 15th anniversary. Breweries across the region will invite both residents and visitors to experience the energy of the Quad Cities’ craft beer scene. Throughout the week, Visit Quad Cities will spotlight local breweries and celebrate across social media.

Kicking off the 15th anniversary, QC Craft Beer Week will debut a new logo, honoring the growth of the region’s brewing culture and the community that continues to support it. The week will start at Twin Span Brewing in Bettendorf, where you can meet the Visit Quad Cities team to learn more and get pumped for the celebration. In addition to the kick-off party, there will be a giveaway for merch when you sign up.

“QC Craft Beer Week celebrates something bigger than beer. It's the spirit of collaboration that defines the Quad Cities craft brewing scene. As you explore local breweries, you’ll see how brewers support one another, share ideas, and continue creating space for new flavors and new voices,” said Katrina Keuning, Brand and Content Strategist, Visit Quad Cities. “That sense of community is what makes this industry so special here, and QC Craft Beer Week is the perfect invitation to try somewhere new and experience the creativity pouring out of our local breweries.”

The Quad Cities' brewing history began in 1847 with Rock Island's Littig and Co., followed by two others. By 1893, they merged into The Rock Island Brewing Co. Davenport saw its first brewery, The City Brewery, in 1850, followed by The Davenport Malting Co. in 1894 through a merger. Prohibition hit Iowa in 1916 and Rock Island in 1918, halting brewing until 1933. After nearly forty years, Front Street Brewery revived the scene in 1992, now standing as Iowa's oldest brewpub and paving the way for today’s thriving craft beer community. QC Craft Beer Week was created in 2011 by Mugz, a local homebrewing club.
